base 130 cm

The curve of the rim draws a waist through the middle of the piece. Central seam left visible, skirted steel base.
The Antonieta is the Vitoria taken to the limit of its curve.
Instead of a straight cut at the rim, the sheet rises and falls in a single continuous wave — the line that runs end to end and narrows the silhouette at the centre.
That curve is worked out on a new mould: the sheet is brought against itself and closed with a seam that stays in plain sight. The joint is not a hidden flaw — it is the axis of the piece, and proof of how it was made.
This is the model that shows the difference between finishes best. In polished metal the wave reflects the light around it and disappears; aged, the same curve takes on shadow and weight. The form is identical; the reading is not.
Polished steel
Sketch, dimensions and decisions — the piece drawn before it exists.
Cutting and shaping the steel by hand, seam by seam.
The reaction of the metal guided to the right tone — the signature of the piece.
The surface sealed at its exact moment, to last.
The same piece outdoors and indoors. The central curve is what organises the silhouette in any setting — and the finish decides whether it steps forward or recedes.
